So what does a Marketer obsessed with Innovation & Efficiency even mean?
Why I love Efficiency
In 2009:
Read about the Scientific Management Theory by Frederick W. Taylor and instantly fell in love with the concept: you can actually create a systematic way of doing things; shortening times and increasing outputs? Why did it take us until the 1880’s to theorise this?! And from thereon, it has been 12 years of simply looking at everything as a process just waiting to be made shorter giving the same or better result (including brushing my teeth in the least amount of time & strokes, without ruining that smile).
My Management and the Modern Corporation University of London International Programs Student Guidebook (the book that started it all, yes I still have it)
Why I love Innovation
Efficiency is great and all, but sometimes we need to change things up, no?
In 2015:
Went to a Tech Incubator as a judge to shortlist startups. I met some brilliant minds there, one whom showed me a screen mirror that worked as a virtual wardrobe in real-time. Very impressive. That person said to me "Tech is the only way to stay ahead of the competition. You'll forget a TV ad. You'll never forget the first time a technology wow'd you. You'll be telling your kids about those experiences with back in my day statements." That really stuck with me.
That's the guy (name withheld because he doesn't like being stalked, but you can try a reverse image search)

And that's pretty much it. 12 years of making things business efficient and completely out-of-the-box. And still learning...
